North – Hummingbird

North gateway is the gateway to the Ancestors. Ancestors our honored. We all will become an Ancestor for someone, what legacy do you want to leave behind. We create our future, the North is about our epic journey in life. Hummingbird is fierce and full of courage to make a journey from Mexico to Canada every year. They seek nourishment in the beautiful flowers blooming along the way.
The card that was drawn today is from Spirit of the Animals Oracle by Jody Bergsma. The card is Wolf – Pathfinder this relates perfectly to the North direction. Wolf is about perseverance, family, protector. Like Wolf, Hummingbird is a protector as well as warrior. Wolf is about teaching their young, which is our future generations to come. The North is about the Wisdom we carry and the Wild Spirit but being a leader for our communities.
I think this is such a perfect card for what is going on in our world right now, how are we leading, what is our example, how are we showing up. Are we thinking of others or are we hoarding resources. Whatever our example is, it will reflect to our children and how they will respond in a challenging time.
